Ayesha Memorial Specialized Hospital (AMSH), located at Mahakhali in the capital, has been publicizing for British American Tobacco Bangladesh (BATB) on its website with BATB logo which plainly violates the amended tobacco control law, says a report Mazadul Noyon, an ATMA member on www.banglanews24.com on April 13, 2014. Following the revised anti-tobacco law, all forms of advertisements in all media including print electronic and website is strictly prohibited and even the tobacco companies cannot use their names, signs or logos during their CSR activities, reads the report. But exploiting the loopholes, tobacco companies are promoting them in numerous innovative ways, and BATB logo on the hospital website is a demonstration of their law violation.

When asked about the use of BATB logo on the AMSH website, an official said that he is unaware about the legal bindings of using the logo. Such a heinous trick has drawn criticism from the tobacco control communities and experts.
