
A follow-up report on using of logo for advertisement of British American Tobacco came out today April 22, 2014 in a very popular on line news portal http://www.banglanews24.com. Mazadul Nayan, one of the ATMA members published a news last week revealing that Aysha Memorial Specialized Hospital was advertising British American Tobacco company’s logo on their official website, which was totally violation of ‘Smoking and Tobacco Products Usages (Control) (Amended) Act 2013’ Article 5. In connection with this report many organizations and individuals protested with different social media outlets right away about this violation of law and finally the hospital authority removed the logo, the report says. It is to be noted that a company who are producing product which kills around 57000 people every year with their product are show casing themselves in a hospital where people comes to get treatment.
