Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu expressed his deep condolences at the demise of labour leader Shafiqur Rahman Majumder, the founding member of Bangladesh Sramik Karmachari Oykyo Parishad (SKOP) today.

The Minister in his condolence message said that the devotion and sincerity portrayed in the life and works of Shafiqur Rahman were not to be faded away. The organization SKOP, founded by Majumder and his allies would continue to work relentlessly for the betterment of the people, contributing their last drop of blood for the country, Hasanul Haq Inu added.

Shafiqur Rahman Majumder passed away at his residence in Demra today, Saturday, 19 April early morning. His remains will be taken to his hometown in Chhagalnaiya of Feni.

Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu offered his prayer for peace of the departed soul and for strength of the bereaved family members and followers of the labour-leader.

 

Shirin Akhter, MP of Feni and chairperson of Jatiya Sramik Jot has also expressed her deep condolences and empathy for the bereaved family members of late Shafiqur Rahman.
