Musical Evening Sheikh Jasim Uddin Kabir

Indira Gandhi Cultural Centre (IGCC) in association with Asian Paints, IRCON and Marico Bangladesh is organising A Musical Evening by eminent Bangladeshi Ghazal singer, Mr. Sheikh Jasim Uddin Kabir, at 6:30 PM on April 19, 2014 at the IGCC, House No. 35, Road No. 24, Gulshan-1, Dhaka.

Mr. Sheikh Jasim Uddin Kabir was born in 1967 at Brahmanbaria to a musical family. He started his formal education in music in the late 1970s and has trained under prominent Ustads such as  Ustad Mafiqul Islam, Sri Jagatanand Barua, Syed Zakir Hussain from Bangladesh and from late Ustad Sagir Uddin Khan of India.

A talented singer, Kabir won “Sangeet Mukul” in inter sub continental classical music competition arranged by “Dhruboparishad.Mr. Kabir is also an acclaimed music composer and has   composed songs for renowned singers of Bangladesh like Kumar Biswajit, Tapan Chowdhury, Samina Chowdhury, Andrew Kishor, Mamtaz, Baby Naznin and others.

You are cordially invited to attend A Musical Evening by one of Bangladesh’s most popular Ghazal singers, Mr. Sheikh Jasim Uddin Kabir,  at 6:30 PM on April 19, 2014 at the Indira Gandhi Cultural Centre, House No. 35, Road No. 24, Gulshan-1, Dhaka.

Entry is free (No pass required). No bags will be allowed within the IGCC, Gulshan-1 premises during the concert.
